SubSonic .22 OB
SubSonic 22 OB – A telescopic muffler specifically for .22 calibers and with volume to attenuate even .22 WMR fine. Although there is a steel muzzle brake in our OB version, intense use with e.g. 22 WMR, however, increase the wear on the first modules of the muffler; these can be changed as needed.

Extra strong attenuation for .22 calibers
This telescopic muffler combines a lightweight aluminum front with steel interior. Parts in contact with the pipe are made of steel and there is a muzzle brake in the muffler. This results in a more durable muffler which also has a larger internal volume. At the same time, telescopic silencers are far more stable than purely front-mounted silencers.

Caliber recommendation
The SubSonic .22 muffler is made specifically for .22 calibers. Due to the large amount of gunpowder in the 22-250, it is not recommended to use a SubSonic .22 for this caliber. Here, for example. a Sonic 35 a far more durable choice.
Be aware that even though a SubSonic .22 has an oversized hole size to effectively fit a .17, .17 calibers also have a lot more gunpowder than e.g. .22 LR, and therefore a SubSonic .22 does not handle a .17 caliber particularly well. Here, a SubSonic .17 is far better, both in terms of attenuation and durability.

In Denmark, all Nielsen Sonic silencers are covered by a 5-year total warranty, provided they are purchased directly from us, and the customer shows up at our production with both the silencer and the rifle it is mounted on.
Maintenance
Never shoot the pipe too hot. Feel free to give the muffler a puff WD40 or similar at the rear end before mounting and after disassembly. Especially if the muffler is used in humid weather.
Always allow the muffler to dry before placing it in storage.
Clean the muffler as needed, using only oil and a cloth.
Avoid using alkaline cleaners, ultrasonic cleaners or brush and scrub cream.
If it is to remain possible to separate the muffler, it is recommended that you regularly separate all modules and apply a little new thread lubrication.
