Our “Max size” is the maximum size caliber that the muffler can be used for.
Too large max size in relation to caliber, will mean significantly reduced efficiency for the muffler.
Caliber recommendation
The SubSonic .22 silencer is made specifically for .22 calibers. Due to the large amount of powder in 22-250, it is not recommended to use a SubSonic .22 for this caliber. Here, for example, a Sonic 35 is a much more durable choice. Please note that although a SubSonic .22 has too large a bore size to effectively fit a .17, .17 calibers also have a lot more powder than e.g. .22 LR, and therefore a SubSonic .22 does not handle a .17 caliber particularly well. Here, a SubSonic .17 is much better, both in terms of attenuation and durability.

In Denmark, all Nielsen Sonic silencers are covered by a 5-year total warranty, if they are purchased directly from us, and the customer shows up at our production with both the silencer and the rifle it is mounted on.
Maintenance
Never shoot the barrel too hot. Feel free to give the silencer a spray of WD40 or similar at the back before mounting and after dismounting.
Especially if the silencer is used in humid weather.
Always let the silencer dry thoroughly before storing it.
Clean the silencer as needed, using only oil and a cloth.
Avoid using alkaline cleaners, ultrasonic cleaners or brushes and scrubbing creams.
If it is to remain possible to disassemble the silencer, it is recommended that you regularly disassemble all modules and apply a little new thread lubricant.
