Nielsen Sonic Silencers
Nielsen Sonic is our brand of silencers. At present, we manufacture 21 different silencers spread across 6 different groups:
Nielsen Sonic is our classic all-round silencers.
Nielsen Sonic Compact is our series of compact silencers, which cover only 7 cm of barrel; hereby it is possible to achieve all the benefits of a telescopic silencer with just a minimum of free barrel.
Nielsen Sonic Fritz is our series of front-mounted silencers, intended for use when there is very limited free barrel.
Nielsen Sonic Ghost, is a light silencer with variable caliber. This single silencer can in principle flexibly suppress calibers from .17 to .375.
Nielsen Paradox is a further development of our Nielsen Sonic silencers. We have emphasized reduced weight and a more discreet look.
SubSonic is a series of silencers for air guns and small calibers. They are manufactured specifically for .22 and .17 calibers.
We manufacture our silencers with a wide range of threads. Each silencer has its available threads listed.
Most of our silencers are available in different “max sizes.” The max size defines the largest projectiles which can pass through the silencer. E.g. a ”Max 7” silencer cannot be used for projectiles larger than 7 mm; and a .375 caliber requires a “Max 9,5” silencer

Most of the noise created by firing a .17 caliber rifle comes from the impact of the bullet as the projectile moves through the air at high speed. To dampen the gunpowder noise itself, you do not need a lot of silencer, and this extended version of our SubSonic 17 silencer ensures ample volume in the silencer. At the same time, it provides increased stability for the muffler as it goes down over the pipe.As the muffler goes down over the pipe, we use steel parts as in our other mufflers that go down over the pipe. This means both increased durability against the gunpowder gases and that the thread in the muffler is cut in steel, rather than aluminum
Brass insert
To make the SubSonic 17 muffler extra durable against the amount of gunpowder in the .17 HMR and .17 Hornet, there is a special 1st module on the SubSonic .17 muffler. In this module is a brass insert which protects the aluminum parts from contact with flames from the gunpowder burning. This significantly increases the service life of the muffler.
